Support the Lab

Your generous support of the Immunogenetics and Transplantation Laboratory helps scientists discover new treatments for bone marrow, cornea transplantation and more.

Crossmatching

Unique Aspects of Laboratory Testing

  • Assays are available using enhanced microcytotoxicity and flow cytometry.
  • Discrimination between IgG and IgM antibodies is available.
  • Titer determination is available
  • T and/or B Lymphocyte testing is available

Tests

FLOW CYTOMETRY

  • Lymphocyte Crossmatch
  • Lymphocyte Crossmatch with DTT treatment
  • Lymphocyte Crossmatch with treatment

CYTOTOXICITY

  • Lymphocyte Crossmatch
  • Lymphocyte Crossmatch; DTT Treated
  • Lymphocyte Crossmatch; with Titer

Indications

FLOW CYTOMETRY

  • To detect donor-specific antibodies pre- or post transplant (donor cells as targets)
  • To detect auto-antibodies (autologous cells as targets)

CYTOTOXICITY

  • To detect donor-specific antibodies pre- or post-transplant (donor cells as targets)
  • To detect auto-antibodies (autologous cells as targets)

Methods

FLOW CYTOMETRY

  • Flow Cytometry is used to detect binding of antibodies to target cells

CYTOTOXICITY

  • Complement dependant microcytotoxicity enhanced with anti human globulin for T Lymphocytes
  • Complement dependant microcytotoxicity for B Lymphocytes
